摘要:NOVELTY - A magnetically separable core shell structured mesoporous adsorbent comprises ferroferric oxide particles as inner particles; mesoporous silicon oxide as outer layer; and a layer of compact silicon oxide as middle layer between the inner particles and the mesoporous layer. USE - Magnetically separable core shell structured mesoporous adsorbent used for separating heavy metal ion in wastewater, including mercury ion (Hg2+), lead ion (Pb2+), cadmium ion (Cd2+), zinc ion (Zn2+) and copper ion (Cu2+) (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The adsorbent has high filter separation and centrifugal separation efficiencies at low cost, and is simple to use. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the heavy metal ion adsorbent, comprising: (A) synthesizing alpha -ferric oxide (Fe2O3) particles; (B) wrapping the compact silicon oxide middle layer; (C) wrapping the mesoporous silicon oxide layer; and (D) reducing the inner particles into magnetic ferroferric oxide particles.
