摘要:LS-DYNA was used to simulate and analyse the safety of spent fuel assembly dropping during hoisting. Most of the previous studies focus on the stress and strain level of storage rack, but lack of analysis of the assembly. In this paper, a near-ground model with 1/4 of the assembly including all the features is established based on considering the computational efficiency and accuracy. Then, based on bilinear elastic-plastic material constitutive and explicit dynamic algorithm, the deep drop condition of the assembly was analysed. It was found that the bottom of the guide tube and the edge of the storage cavity were the most dangerous. The structural integrity of the assembly and storage rack were evaluated by strain and deformation failure method, and the results showed that they met the safety requirements. The simulation method and conclusion of this paper can provide reference value for the safe hoisting of spent fuel assembly and storage rack. ? 2023 SPIE. All rights reserved.
