摘要:The objective of this study was to investigate the interaction properties between Ca/Na-rich slags with varying alkalinity and two types of high-chrome refractories (phosphate-added and phosphate-unadded). To understand the mechanisms behind wetting, spreading, and infiltration behavior at the slag-refractory interface, the methodology employed sessile drop tests, scanning electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and thermodynamic simulations. It was discovered that the wettability of alkaline slag on high-chrome refractories improved with an increase in Na2O concentration. Additionally, the addition of phosphate significantly enhanced the resistance of the refractory to infiltration by low-Na2O (<= 10 %) slags, but had no effect on high-Na2O (15 %) slags. Raman experiments further revealed that Na2O reduced the polymerization and viscosity of the slag, which in turn affected its interaction with the refractory. Thermodynamic calculations showed that phosphate promoted the formation of a liquid phase rich in CaO, Na2O, and P2O5, which increased the viscosity of slag and inhibited its permeability. Overall, the addition of phosphates holds potential for improving the corrosion resistance of refractories, particularly at low Na2O levels.
