摘要：福柯发现:在古代哲人眼中,"自己"就是自我的灵魂,"关心自己"与"认识自己"的关系有其混杂性和动态性的交织,而认识自己就是认识神。劳伦斯的作品体现了一种现代社会"关心自己"的技术即太阳崇拜,它与"认识自己就是认识神"相雷同;在"关心自己"以营造"自然人"之艺术人生上,劳伦斯希望通过宗教得以实现"认识自己",其技术是非理性的;他的"认识自己并最终认识神"具有贵族性特点,并非人人都能为之。
Michel Foucault found out that in the eyes of ancient philosophers ＂self＂ is one＇s own soul, that the relation between ＂care for oneself ＂and ＂know oneself＂ is of hybridity and dynamic intertwinement, and that to know oneself is to know gods. D.H. Lawrence＇ s fiction embodies a technique of how to take care of oneself in modern society, the sun cult, which is similar to ＂to know oneself is to know gods＂. As to ＂to take care for oneself in order to create an artistic life of a true human individual＂, Lawrence expected to realize it through religion. Its technique is irrational. His ＂to know oneself and finally gods＂ is characteristic of nobleness, and thus can by no means be achieved by all.
