摘要:In order to construct a photo/chemical dual-stimuli-responsive molecule, a symmetrical butterfly-shaped tetra-arylethene has been synthesized by combining Schiff bases with photochromic tetra-arylethene. Results show that it exhibits controllable aggregation-induced fluorescence enhancement (AIEE), reversible photochromism and switchable ion detection. Moreover, the tetra-arylethene further behaves all-visible-light triggered photochromism by being doped in PMMA film to limit the molecule conformation. Once complexed with copper ions, it exhibits irreversible photocyclization. It reverts to reversible photochromism when adding EDTA. Consequently, a nonreversing photochromic system gated by Cu2+ has been developed, which has potential applications in constructing multi-stimuli responsive materials, logic gates and detecting of copper ions. ? 2024, The Authors.
