摘要：从文学和社会学的角度,探讨了美国著名短篇小说《美女,还是老虎》中女性的悲剧命运。文章认为,无论给予这部具有开放式结尾的小说以怎样的结尾,都无法使其中女性角色的命运得到救赎,说明她们的悲剧是男权制下所有女性的共同生存悲剧,并简述男权文化对当今社会产生的负面影响。
The Lady, or the Tiger, a well-known and most poputar snort novet wr^tLc^l ~ R. Stockton, has attracted considerable attention since its publication. From the perspective of literature and sociology, this paper is an attempt to explore the root of the female tragedy in the story and cast light on the negative impact of patriarchy in today＇s society.
