摘要:以硼砂和镁铝水滑石(MgAl-LDH)为原料制备了硼砂改性镁铝水滑石(BLDH),研究了三种制备工艺参数对其的影响,并将优化工艺参数后的BLDH应用为聚丙烯(PP)阻燃剂。采用甲亚胺-H分光光度法表征产物硼元素含量,通过X射线衍射(XRD)测试表征物相结构,通过极限氧指数(LOI)测试、水平燃烧测试、微型量热测试表征阻燃性能,通过热失重/微分热失重(TG/DTG)分析表征热稳定性。结果表明,硼砂对镁铝水滑石的改性方式为层间改性与表面改性共存。随反应温度和反应时间的增加改性样品中硼含量存在极大值,而随着投料比的增加硼含量呈先增加后增速明显放缓近于不变的趋势,层间距的扩大与硼含量的增长趋势一致。将优化产物作为聚丙烯阻燃剂,当添加质量分数为30%时,BLDH/PP的LOI达到21.2%,水平燃烧等级达到HB级,热释放参数显著下降,复合材料阻燃性能提升;此外,复合材料失重区间变宽,热解行为有所改变。
Borax-modified magnesium-aluminum hydrotalcite(BLDH)was prepared by borax and magnesium-aluminum hydrotalcite(MgAl-LDH)and the influence of three preparation process parameters on it was studied.The optimized BLDH was added as polypropylene(PP)flame retardant.The boron content of the product was characterized by methanimine-H spectrophotometry,the phase structure was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),the flame retardant performance was characterized by limiting oxygen index test,horizontal combustion test,and micro calorimeter test,and thermal stability was characterized by thermal gravimetric(TG)/differential thermogravimetric analysis(DTG)analysis.The results show that the modification modes of borax on magnesium aluminum hydrotalcite are coexistence of interlayer modification and surface modification.With the increase of reaction temperature and reaction time,the boron content in the modified samples has a maximum value.While with the increase of the feed ratio,the boron contents increase first and then the growth rate obviously slows down,which is almost constant.When adding 30%of BLDH,the limited oxygen index(LOI)of BLDH/PP could reach 21.2%,the horizontal combustion rating reaches HB level,the heat release parameter is significantly reduced,thus the flame retardant performance of the composite material is improved.In addition,the composites widen the weight loss range and change the pyrolysis behavior.
