The optimum effectiveness factors and optimum bulk density are studied CO,CO_2hydrogenation reactions on the Cu-based methanol synthesis catalysts.It can been seen that thereare maximum effectiveness factors corresponding to the optimum bulk densities from 2.3 to 2.5g/cm ̄3. As the thickness of surface poisoning of the Cu- based catalyst increases these optimumvalues could vanish.
