摘要：When a part is scanned by industrial CT system, many cross section images are obtained. There are many point data in every cross section image. An algorithm is proposed to reduce image's contour data based on circular curvature. The algorithm includes rough selection and accurate selection. Bad points and redundant points are removed based on circular curvature in rough selection. Some rules are used to get dominant points of the image contour in accurate selection. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the contour data effectively while maintaining the contour shape. 1548-7741/Copyright ? 2012 Binary Information Press.
