摘要：利用省级空间面板数据对中国地方政府财政支出策略行为的研究发现,省级政府间存在财政支出的策略互补性竞争,竞争对象是经济发展水平相似和距离接近的省份。但如果考虑多个变量的间接作用,距离就成为了地区相互作用的主要因素。此外,实证结果还发现本省份人均产出,产业结构对邻居省份的财政支出具有促进作用,而本省份的经济开放则对邻居省份的财政支出具有抑制作用。
This paper, by analyzing provincial spatial panel data of Chinese municipal governments＇ policies on fiscal expenditure, finds that there is complementary competition regarding fiscal expenditure between local governments. Competitors are provinces, with geographical proximity, sharing similar level of economic development. If we take the indirect effect of various variables into consideration, the geographical proximity would be the most important factor for spatial interaction. In addition, the empirical study finds that the output per capita, and industrial structure of one province play a simulative role on fiscal expenditure of neighboring province, whereas eeonomic openness inhibits.
