摘要：以奈达对文化的分类为根据,对《围城》中出现的文化负载词按生态、语言、宗教、物质和社会五个方面进行了归类。通过分析《围城》英译本中文化词汇的翻译,文章认为为使目的语读者顺利理解原文内容,译者应选择顺应译语读者文化背景知识的语言。
This paper, based on Nida＇s classification of culture, categorizes culture-loaded words in Forlress Besieged in terms of ecological, linguistic, religious, material and social culture. Through the analysis of translation of culture-loaded words in Fortress Besieged, it is believed that, in order to facilitate readers＂ understanding of the original text, the translator should adapt to the cultural background knowledge of target language readers when making linguistic choices.
