摘要：通感作为一种"泛时性倾向"是人类认知所共有的生理现象和心理现象。以往对"通感"的讨论局限于修辞方面。本文就词汇化通感与修辞性通感两方面对英汉语言中的通感及其运用进行对比研究。由于语言与文化的差异,英汉语中词化了的通感的分布情况与表现形式是不同的。Ullmann曾对英美等国一些作家作品中的修辞性通感作过调查统计和量化分析,研究没有涉及汉语。本文对朱自清散文代表作中修辞性通感的使用作了穷尽性统计与量化分析,旨在比较英汉语中修辞性通感使用的共性与个性。
Synaesthesia, one of the panchronistic tendencies, is shared by human beings both physiologically and psychologically in cognition. This paper makes a eontrastive study between English and Chinese on synaesthesia and its use in terms of lexiealized synaesthesia and rhetorical synaesthesia. Owing to the differences in language and culture, lexicalized synaesthesia differs in distribution and form. A quantitative analysis was made by Ullmann on the use of rhetorical synaesthesia in the liter- ary works, especially in English. A similar quantitative analysis has been made in this paper on Zhu Ziqing＇ s use of rhetorical synaesthesia in his works in Chinese with a view to illustrating the language universals and idiosyncrasies.
