摘要:以微米钨粉和α-Al_2O_3粉为基体,Gd_2O_3-Mg O-SiO_2为改性剂,采用常压烧结方式制备了W/Al_2O_3屏蔽复合陶瓷,并研究了Gd_2O_3含量及烧结温度对复合陶瓷烧结性能、微观结构、力学性能和屏蔽性能的影响。结果表明:烧结温度为1550℃,引入1.5wt%的Gd_2O_3可明显提高陶瓷的致密化程度,其力学强度高达276.44 MPa,较未改性陶瓷提高了38%。并且该陶瓷对γ射线有优异的屏蔽性能,半衰减厚度值仅为1.49 cm。
W/Al2O3 shielding composite ceramics were prepared by pressureless sintering method using tungsten and alumina as the matrix and Gd2O3-MgO-SiO2 as sintering additives. The effect of Gd2O3 addition and sintering temperature on sintering properties, microstmcture,bending strength and shielding properties of composites was investigated. The results show that the porosity and water absorption of W/Al2O3 composite is lowest with 1.5wt% Gd2O3 addition sintered at 1550 ℃ ,which is most densification. Compared with the unmodified ceramic, the bending strength of composite can reach to 276.44 MPa, which rises by 38% higher. In addition,the composite also shows good shielding property for gamma-rays radiation,and its half-value layer is 1.49 cm under 6℃o γ-rays.
