摘要:NOVELTY - A biphenylyl dimethyl ether is dripped in solution of phenol and para-toluenesulfonic acid, heated and distilled. The obtained product is purified, to obtain 4,4'-biphenylyl dimethyl-diphenylolpropane (a). The mixed solution of component (a), triethylamine and organic solvent is dripped in organic solution containing chlorine cyanide and cooled. The product is subjected to washing, drying and steaming processes. The obtained rough product is recrystallized with organic solvent, to obtain 1-((4-isocyanatophenyl)methyl)-4-(4-((4-isocyanatophenyl)methyl)phenyl)benzene. USE - Manufacture of 1-((4-isocyanatophenyl)methyl)-4-(4-((4-isocyanatophenyl)methyl)phenyl)benzene. ADVANTAGE - The method provides 1-((4-isocyanatophenyl)methyl)-4-(4-((4-isocyanatophenyl)methyl)phenyl)benzene having excellent flame-retardant property and thermal stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A biphenylyl dimethyl ether is dripped in the mixed solution of phenol and para-toluenesulfonic acid, heated and maintained at 120-140 degrees C for 2-4 hours. Alkali solution is added to obtained solution, neutralized and distilled at reducing pressure to remove excess phenol, to obtain solid crystal. The obtained solid crystal is purified, to obtain 4,4'-biphenylyl dimethyl-diphenylolpropane (a). The molar ratio of the phenol, para-toluenesulfonic acid and biphenylyl dimethyl ether is 2-10:0.02-0.19:1. The mixing solution of component (a), triethylamine and organic solvent is dripped in organic solution containing chlorine cyanide, cooled and maintained at 20-0 degrees C for 2-6 hours. The obtained product is subjected to washing, cleaning, isolating, drying and steaming processes, to obtain rough product. The molar ratio of 4,4'-biphenylyl dimethyl-diphenylolpropane, chlorine cyanide, triethylamine and organic solvent is 1:2.02-3.2:2.01-3.00:5-20. The rough product is recrystallized with organic solvent, to obtain 1-((4-isocyanatophenyl)methyl)-4-(4-((4-isocyanatophenyl)methyl)phenyl)benzene.
