摘要：从语言美的特性对比《红楼梦》回目的译语与原语,译语在语言的视听感、结构形态、意涵容载、情感含蕴、意象寄寓和文化着色等六方面流失了原语很多的美感。造成该现象的因素众多,诸如语言翻译的不可译性、译者和译文读者的审美能力等。
By making the comparative study of the chapter titles of Hong Lou Meng between the orig- inal language Chinese and the target language English, it is found that there is due beauty in the expressions of the target language English in the following much linguistic loss of the six aspects-the loss of the audio -visual, structural, connotational, imagery, sentimental and cultural favors. contributing to the loss such as the untranslatability of language, the translator＇s There are many factors and the target language receptors＇ inadequacy of aesthetic abilities.
