摘要:NOVELTY - An aldehyde dehydrogenase, is new. The aldehyde dehydrogenase is NADP-dependent aldehyde dehydrogenase and comprises protein which is chosen from (a) protein having a 336 amino acid sequence (SEQ ID NO: 2) fully defined in the specification, and (b) protein comprising isoleucine residue at position 87, valine residue at position 127, proline residue at position 150, glutamic acid at position 217, asparagine residue at position 235 and proline residue at position 236 of SEQ ID NO: 2. USE - The aldehyde dehydrogenase is used for performing catalytic oxidation of (3R,5S)-6-chloro-2,4,6-trideoxy-D-erythro-pyranose to (3R,5S)-6-chloro-2,4,6-trideoxy-D-erythro-pyranoside (all claimed), and in medicine for reducing blood fat. ADVANTAGE - The aldehyde dehydrogenase is environmentally-friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An aldehyde dehydrogenase, is new. The aldehyde dehydrogenase is NADP-dependent aldehyde dehydrogenase and comprises protein which is chosen from (a) protein having a 336 amino acid sequence (SEQ ID NO: 2) fully defined in the specification, and (b) protein comprising isoleucine residue at position 87, valine residue at position 127, proline residue at position 150, glutamic acid at position 217, asparagine residue at position 235 and proline residue at position 236 of SEQ ID NO: 2, where one or more amino acid residue is substituted to form protein of new amino acid sequence with increased activity. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) isolated nucleic acid, comprising nucleic acid molecule encoding aldehyde dehydrogenase; (2) recombinant expression plasmid, comprising nucleic acid; (3) recombinant expression transformant, comprising recombinant expression plasmid; and (4) use of aldehyde dehydrogenase for catalytic oxidation of (3R,5S)-6-chloro-2,4,6-trideoxy-D-erythro-pyranose to (3R,5S)-6-chloro-2,4,6-trideoxy-D-erythro-pyranoside.
