摘要：NOVELTY - A ketoreductase mutant protein selected from (i) a protein comprising a defined sequence of 352 amino acids, and (ii) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 2 having a residue substitution, is new. USE - The ketoreductase mutant protein and host cell are useful for producing optically pure alcohol (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The ketoreductase mutant protein and host cell are used for stable and increased alcohol production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are: (1) a nucleic acid molecule encoding the ketoreductase mutant protein above; (2) a recombinant expression vector comprising the nucleic acid molecule of (1); (3) a host cell transformed with the vector of (2); and (4) a method for preparing ketoreductase mutant protein above.
