摘要:Thioacetals of various aldehydes were obtained directly from aldehydes or by a transthioacetalisation process from O,O-acetals catalyzed by Povidone-iodine (PVP-I) with good to excellent yields. Attractive features of this method include mild reaction conditions, low catalyst loading, recyclability of catalyst, facile purification of products, and high synthetic efficiency.
