摘要：The rate of reaction between a soluble vinyl sulfonyl reactive dye and methyl-alpha-D-glucoside has been studied. It was found that only two reaction products D6 and D4 were formed; neither D2 or D3 was present. The rate constant k6 was 9.38 times greater than k4 at 50-degrees-C and the rate constant k6 8.54 times greater than k4 at 60-degrees-C. The rates of alkaline hydrolysis of D6 and D4 were also studied. The mechanism of hydrolysis of D6 and D4 follows an elimination route initially. The rate of hydrolysis of D6 at pH 12.824 (k = 0.1142 min-1 at 50-degrees-C, k = 0.1149 min-1 at 60-degrees-C) is greater than that of D4 at the same pH (k = 0.0678 min-1 at 50-degrees-C, k = 0.1092 min-1 at 60-degrees-C).
