摘要:Glasses with compositions (65-x)Bi2O3-10B 2O3-25SiO2-xSb2O3/As 2O3/CeO2 (x=0, 0.5, 1) have been prepared by conventional melt quench technique. X-ray diffraction patterns indicated existence of Bi0 particles dispersed in glass in the glass x=0. Great improvement in transmittance was observed by adding Sb2O 3, As2O3, or CeO2. The color lightening effect of these oxidizing additives on bismuth oxide glasses and the variation of UV absorption edge were discussed in terms of specific role these different types of metal ions played in glasses. ? 2008 The American Ceramic Society.
