摘要：本文根据西方人的宇宙审美和中国人的生命审美的观点,从力学的角度推导出英国人的审美运动是在压缩中进行的,而中国人的审美运动是在扩展中进行的。据此,下文将推导出英汉两种语言中各自体现了简约精确审美和冗余精炼审美、立体审美和平面审美等差异,这些审美观差异不仅在语用中得到体现,而且也在词法、句法和章法中也有所体现。
Based on a dichotomy between Westerners＇ universe-centered aesthetics and Chinese life-centered aesthetics, this paper assumes from the perspective of mechanics that the English aesthetics is featured with condensation while the Chinese one with extension. According to the assumption, the English language is aesthetically concise, precise and multi-dimensioned while Chinese redundant, refined and one- dimensioned, which is pragmatically and also grammatically represented at lexical, syntactical and textual levels.
