摘要:NOVELTY - Preparation of mesoporous iron oxide single crystal involves adding hydrosol chosen from HS-40-type hydrosol and colloidal silica to polytetrafluoroethylene-lined autoclave, adding mixed solution comprising 0-100 mmol ferric chloride and 0-100 mmol sodium fluoride, reacting at 180-240 degrees C for 24-48 hours, hydrothermally etching for 12-24 hours, washing using deionized water at 50-80 degrees C and drying. USE - Preparation of mesoporous iron oxide single crystal used for forming photoanode of photo-electrochemical water splitting device (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of porous-structured mesoporous iron oxide single crystal having high specific surface area and recyclability and particle size of 800 nm, by simple and economical process, within short period of time, using silicon oxide as templating agent. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for photo-electrochemical water splitting device, which comprises photoanode comprising mesoporous iron oxide single crystal layer deposited on glass substrate.
