摘要:Traveling wave transport based on near-field acoustic levitation is a non-contact operation technique required for precision manufacturing, which is typically achieved by configuring multiple piezoelectric oscillators. Compared to conventional piezoelectric excitation, laser excitation is an external field excitation with the advantage of non-contact, easy integration, broad bandwidth, and removability. In this study, traveling waves are successfully excited by laser on the beam actuator, which allows the vibration energy to be transmitted to a specific region. A numerical simulation model has been developed to obtain the deformation fields of the actuator under periodic laser irradiation. We investigate the response of the photothermal actuator by laser and realize efficient excitation of vibration induced by the laser via controlling the drive parameters. In addition, the mode of laser excitation determines the dynamics of the vibration source. This study provides the feasibility of laser-excited ultrasonic levitation and traveling wave transmission, thereby broadening the application of non-contact operation techniques and promoting the development of precision manufacturing, large-size operation, vibration control and energy harvesting, and photoacoustic transducer fields.
