摘要:NOVELTY - Preparing magnetic immobilized cells comprises: (a) providing a solution of chitosan catechol; (b) providing a bacterial cell suspension, the bacterial suspension is added to the magnetic iron oxide; and (c) adding to the resulting solution of catechol chitosan solution, the pH is adjusted to neutral and stirred uniform for magnetic immobilized and isolated cells. USE - The method is useful for preparing magnetic immobilized cells. The magnetic immobilized cells are useful for catalytic conversion of nitriles to R-(-)-mandelic acid in ethyl acetate/aqueous phase system, where yield is 100% in water phase (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - By using the method, the cells can be effectively separated by an external magnetic field, thus the magnetic immobilization methods have broad application prospects and practical value.
