摘要:By applying propionate as a sole carbon source, the maximum sludge organic loading rate (OLR) was discussed in a single UASB reactor, and the synergistic degradation of propionate by sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) was investigated in the experiment. The results showed that the maximum sludge OLR was 1.13 kgHPr-COD/(kgVSS.d), when propionate and COD removal efficiencies decreased to 63% and 52%, respectively. Acetic acid did not accumulate in UASB during propionic acid accumulation, and the metabolism of acetic acid by MPB to produce biogas was less affected. When influent COD/SO42- was 6 in the experiment, the propionic acid in UASB was reduced from 2041 mg/L to 484 mg/L by the synergistic degradation of SRB, and the propionic acid accumulation was eliminated.
