摘要:NOVELTY - Separation material i.e. carrier-ethylene glycol diethyl ether diamine tetraacetic acid complexes (I) are new. USE - (I) are useful in separation of heavy metal ions e.g. lead ions, mercury ions, cadmium ions, arsenic ions, cobalt ions and/or manganese ions (claimed). ADVANTAGE - (I): cannot change an adsorbing effect along with change of the immobilized material; and does not change other components in the aqueous solution; have low cost; have strong removing ability and good selectivity; and can be recycled. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Separation material i.e. carrier-ethylene glycol diethyl ether diamine tetraacetic acid complexes of formula (S1-L1-A) (I) are new. A = ethylene glycol diethyl ether diamine tetraacetic acid; L1 = -R1-NH-, -R1-CO-, -R1-CONH-, -R1-CSNH-, -R1-COO-, -R1-CSO-, -R1-SO2NH-, -R1-SO- or -R1-SO2-, preferably -NH-, -CO-, -CONH-, -CSNH-, -COO-, -CSO-, -SO2NH-, -SO2- or -SO-; S1 = carrier material; and R1 = 1-20C hydrocarbyl or substituted aryl group. Provided that: S1, L1 and A are covalently linked together. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for separating heavy metals ion in a sample, comprising contacting (I) with sample, and separating the heavy metal ions.
