摘要:NOVELTY - Preparing organic/inorganic composite coated modified gypsum crystal whisker comprises e.g. using the ion exchange method to carry out inorganic modification of gypsum whisker surface to obtain inorganic modified gypsum crystal whisker, adding chitosan solution, adding sodium hydroxide solution to adjust pH, then adding prepared inorganically modified gypsum crystal whisker, stirring and reacting, again adding 1 mol/l sodium hydroxide solution to adjust pH to 7-10, reacting, coating for 2-3 hours and filtering and drying to obtain modified gypsum crystal whisker. USE - The method is useful for preparing organic/inorganic composite coated modified gypsum crystal whisker (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method solves low retention rate of modified gypsum crystal whisker in paper-making process, and poor pulp adhesion; reduces the solubility of gypsum crystal whisker, without changing physical and chemical properties; can increase the affinity of gypsum crystal whisker and paper pulp. The modified gypsum crystal whisker can replace calcium carbonate used in the papermaking process as paper making filler. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing organic/inorganic composite coated modified gypsum crystal whisker comprises (i) using the ion exchange method to carry out inorganic modification of gypsum whisker surface: using barium hydroxide and gypsum whisker according to mass ratio of 1:5-20 for ion exchange reaction using deionized water, stirring for 1 hour, filling carbon dioxide gas, controlling the pH to 7-9.5, filtering and drying to obtain the inorganic modified gypsum crystal whisker, and (ii) taking 0.1-0.5% (wt./vol.) chitosan solution, adding 1 mol/l sodium hydroxide solution to adjust pH to 4-6, then adding step (i) prepared inorganically modified gypsum crystal whisker, where the mass ratio of chitosan and inorganically modified gypsum crystal whisker is 1:10-100, stirring and reacting for 2-3 hours, again adding 1 mol/l sodium hydroxide solution to adjust pH to 7-10, reacting, coating for 2-3 hours and filtering and drying to obtain modified gypsum crystal whisker.
