摘要：NOVELTY - An ammonium polyphosphate type II crystal form is prepared by mixing (pts.wt.) quantitative ammonium phosphate salt (100) and melamine pyrophosphate (1-100) at room temperature in a reactor, heating at 120-320 degrees C for 30-120 minutes while introducing wet ammonia at a flow rate of 1-30 l/minute, heating further at 180-380 degrees C in the presence wet ammonia for 1-5 hours, curing, crushing and cooling. USE - Method of preparing an ammonium polyphosphate type II crystal form. ADVANTAGE - The method utilizes non-phosphorus pentoxide feedstock; is safe, simple and easy' and prepares stable crystal form.
