摘要：NOVELTY - Composite comprises magnesium hydroxide and diatomaceous earth, where magnesium hydroxide is 0-30% of the mass of the diatomaceous earth. USE - The composite is useful for treating lead ions in wastewater (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite: has non-toxicity, less input, simple preparation process, and good stability; and is environmentally friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the composite comprising (i) firstly heating diatomaceous earth with the heating speed of 5-10 degrees C/minutes, maintaining the temperature for 2-3 hours at 600-800 degrees C, and then cooling to room temperature along with the furnace, and (ii) dissolving magnesium salt in a small amount of deionized water, adding to the diatomaceous earth, allowing the diatomaceous earth completely blot the solution, drying at 80-100 degrees C, dissolving base in a small amount of deionized water, adding to the dried diatomaceous earth, allowing the diatomaceous earth to completely dry the solution, and drying at 80-100 degrees C to obtain the composite.
