摘要:Different factors affecting electric furnaces melting borosilicate glass are discussed. Some phenomena lowering the quality of the quality of the glass are, for example, the yield of glass molten, electric parameters and operation temperature are stable, but the liquid viscidity of glass fluctuates; melted temperature is very high, but unmelted quartz particles in the final products are still present in the glass; and stepping dusts and small bubbles are often found in the final products. The partial pressure of the gas in the furnace increased and made it very easy for the bubbles to grow and rise rapidly, because of the high gas rate produced from melting the glass batch. Influences on the control of electric melting are discussed.
