摘要:In order to improve the flammable disadvantages of nylon56 and increase the application field of bio-based nylon56. Melamine cyanurate(MCA) was used and self-assembled in a solvent by graphitic carbon nitride surface treatment. The composition and morphology of modified MCA were studied. The flame retardant functions and mechanical attributes of CNMCA prepared with surface treatment and polyamide56 (PA56) prepared with unmodified MCA were evaluated and compared. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy showed that g-C3N4 was successfully microencapsulated on the MCA surface. The micromorphological structure of the unmodified MCA and CNMCA was further characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM)and the image of SEM shows degree of agglomeration was significantly reduced compared with conventional MCA, resulting in more uniform dispersion in the PA56 matrix. In addition, PA56/CNMCA achieves a UL 94 V-0 rating and a limiting oxygen index (LOI) value of 30.1%. Compared with pure PA56, PA56/CNMCA30 had the best synergistic effect, and its total heat release rate (THR) and total smoke release (TSR) values were reduced by 45.45% and 13.62% separately compared with pure PA56. Consequently, Under the same flame retardant addition (10wt%), on the one hand, CNMCA flame retardant has better dispersion than traditional MCA in bio-based nylon56 matrix, on the other hand, due to the physical isolation of g-C3N4, the synergistic effect of MCA and graphitic carbon nitride makes nylon56 have better mechanical qualities and flame resistance. ? 2023, The Authors.
