摘要:NOVELTY - Hydrophilic stationary phase comprises an arginine bonded silica derivative (I). USE - The hydrophilic stationary phase is useful for the separation of polar compounds. ADVANTAGE - The method is carried out in a simple manner with high selectivity and mild reaction conditions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Hydrophilic stationary phase comprises an arginine bonded silica derivative of formula (I). R2 = ethyl; and R2 = SiO. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the hydrophilic stationary phase comprising (a) producing arginine bonded to silica gel using click chemistry by introducing alkynyl group in an organic solvent on silica surface, adding silane coupling agent and propargylamine with a molar ratio of 1-5:1.2-5 at 60-150 degrees C for 8-24 hours, adding activated silica gel, reacting at 60-100 degrees C for 12-48 hours, filtering, washing with dichloromethane, methanol and acetone to obtain a solid product, and drying the resulting solid product at 40-80 degrees C for 6-12 hours to obtain alkynyl bonded silica gel derivatives, (ii) adding resulting alkynyl bonded silica gel derivative into 20-50 ml water/methanol mixed solvent in a volume ratio of 2/l-10/l, adding arginine with modified azide groups and catalyst at 20-80 degrees C for 24-72 hours, filtering, washing with water, saturated solution of disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate, water, acetone and tetrahydrofuran, filtering to obtain a solid product, and drying the resulting solid product in a vacuum oven at 40-80 degrees C for 6-12 hours.
