摘要:NOVELTY - Preparing carbon-doped zinc oxide based visible light catalyst comprises placing small organic substance and zinc source of ratio 2-5:1 in a mortar, grinding, drying in an oven of temperature higher than the boiling point of the system to obtain precursor, calcining the precursor in a muffle furnace at 500-800 degrees C for 1-5 hours and rapid cooling to obtain high catalytic activity nano powder catalyst, where the drying temperature is 180-220 degrees C, the drying time is 2-6 hours. USE - The carbon-doped zinc oxide based visible light catalyst is useful for degradation of rhodamine B and other environmental pollutants. ADVANTAGE - The method generates large amount of gas in the reaction process which achieves production of small-sized product (claimed). The nano powder: has good dispersibility, small particle diameter, uniform size distribution and chemical stability; can be irradiated at room temperature of 30 plus minus 3 degrees C under visible light; and achieves complete degradation of rhodamine B within 15 minutes.
