摘要:NOVELTY - A cordierite honeycomb adhered with metal salt is contacted with carbon-containing gas source for 0.5-12 hours at 400-800 degrees C, to obtain a cordierite honeycomb with nanocarbon fibers. The cordierite honeycomb is immersed in slurry of activated alumina for 10-60 minutes to obtain cordierite honeycomb on which nanocarbon fibers are grown and which is coated with activated alumina. The cordierite honeycomb is baked for 2-10 hours at 400-800 degrees C, to obtain a cordierite honeycomb with activated alumina coating. USE - Coating of cordierite honeycomb used as carrier of catalysts used for heat-exchange, energy conservation, vehicle tail-gas treatment, and factory waste-gas treatment (all claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for cordierite honeycomb with activated alumina coating. The amount of activated alumina coating is 5-30 wt.% and the aperture of activated alumina coating is 2-100 nm.
