摘要：博物馆是新时期“中国话语”外宣的重要窗口,是一国软实力提升的可视化体现。陶瓷文物蕴含丰富的历史、文化和工艺信息,其英译是跨文化传播中的重要一环。采集、梳理了上海博物馆之中国古代陶瓷馆内480余件陶瓷文物的英译语料,以功能翻译目的论视阈探究文物名称中的文化信息及翻译失误,并提出相应的翻译策略。
As an important channel for publicizing"Chinese discourse"in the new era,museums represent a visualization of a country's soft power improvement.Loaded with rich historical,cultural,and technical information,ceramics relics and their English translations play significant roles in intercultural communication.This paper collected the Chinese and English texts of over 480 ceramics relics exhibited in the Ancient Chinese Ceramics Gallery of Shanghai Museum,and analyzed the cultural information and translation errors based on the Functionalist Skopostheorie.Practical translation strategies were accordingly proposed.
