摘要:NOVELTY - Catalyst comprises 0.5 wt.% ruthenium metal and cerium oxide nanorods (remaining amount). USE - The catalyst is useful in the low-temperature catalytic combustion of chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons (claimed), and eliminating halogen-containing organic compound, preferably volatile chlorinated aromatic pollutants. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has high activity, anti-chlorine poisoning ability, and long service life; and does not contain by-products, and cause no secondary pollution. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIM are also included for: (1) preparing the catalyst, comprising (i) preparing cerium oxide carrier of different shapes by carrying out hydrothermal process by mixing cerium nitrate and sodium hydroxide (nano-octahedron is sodium phosphate) solution, uniformly stirring the solution by placing into a crystallization kettle placed in a beaker lined with polyfluortetraethylene, crystallizing at different temperatures for a certain period of time, filtering the precipitate, washing, and drying, and calcining at 350 degrees C for 3 hours in air atmosphere, to obtain the product. and (ii) preparing ruthenium precursor solution by soaking cerium oxide carrier powder in an aqueous solution, and uniformly dispersing, allowing to stand, drying, and calcining at 400 degrees C for 4 hours in air atmosphere, to obtain catalyst powder used as catalyst; and (2) elimination method of chlorinated aromatic compound, comprising performing low-temperature catalytic combustion of chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons by using catalyst.
