摘要:NOVELTY - Poly(p-phenylene)benzodioxazole (PBO) composite fiber is prepared by oxidizing carbon nanotube using inorganic acid to remove impurity and to engage carboxylic acid on surface of the nanotube; reacting 4,6-diamido hydroxyphenol hydrochloride or phosphate with terephthalic acid to obtain PBO prepolymer solution; mixing carbon nanotube solution, terephthalic acid (TPA) suspension and PBO prepolymer solution, and extruding at 15-250 degrees C for 5-60 minutes obtaining composite material solution; and filtering the solution, spray drying and wet spinning. USE - Method of preparing poly(p-phenylene)benzodioxazole composite fiber (claimed) for use as intensifier in thermoplastic resin, rubber and plastic, and for use in protective clothing, flame-proof material or friction material. ADVANTAGE - The produced composite fiber has 10-90% tensile strength and 10-50% modulus, which is better than existing composite fiber prepared under the same condition. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - PBO composite fiber having carbon nanotubes is prepared by performing acid oxidation treatment to carbon nanotube using inorganic acid with strong oxidizing property to remove impurity and to engage carboxylic acid on surface of the nanotube; reacting 4,6-diamido hydroxyphenol hydrochloride or phosphate with TPA at a mole ratio of 1:0.9-0.99 at 120-200 degrees C for 10-40 hours in an anhydrous acid solvent to obtain PBO prepolymer solution; mixing carbon nanotube solution, TPA suspension and PBO prepolymer solution at 10-200 rpm, and extruding at 15-250 degrees C for 5-60 minutes obtaining composite material solution; and filtering the solution, spray drying and wet spinning. The amount of the carbon nanotube is 1-15 wt.% based on the amount of PBO prepolymer. The anhydrous acid solvent is 1-50 wt.% TPA suspension present at 1-1.5 times the amount of TPA in the prepolymer solution.
