摘要：NOVELTY - An Agrobacterium radiobacter (CGMCC 7986) is new. USE - The A. radiobacter (CGMCC 7986) is useful for producing ketoreductase and quinuclidinol (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The A. radiobacter (CGMCC 7986) is used for producing ketoreductase and quinuclidinol with high yield and good optical purity, where the production method has mild reaction conditions and is simple. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are: (1) a ketoreductase produced by the bacteria above, selected from (i) a protein comprising a defined sequence of 261 amino acids (SEQ ID NO. 2 or 4), given in the specification, and (ii) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 2 or 4 having one or more amino acid residue substitution, deletion or addition; (2) a gene encoding ketoreductase selected from (i) a gene comprising a defined nucleotide sequence of 786 bp (SEQ ID NO. 1 or 3), given in the specification, and (ii) a gene comprising a nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO. 1 or 3 having one or more base substitution, deletion or addition; (3) a recombinant expression vector comprising the gene of (1); (4) a transformant comprising the recombinant expression vector of (3); and (5) a method for preparing recombinant ketoreductase by culturing the transformant of (4) for protein expression.
