摘要:In a coupling reaction in organic chemistry, two hydrocarbon fragments are coupled with the aid of catalysts. There are two types of coupling reactions: cross couplings and homocouplings. Cross couplings involve reactions between two chemically distinct species. A homo-coupling reaction couples a molecule with itself, often in a reductive or oxidative manner. Supported ionic liquid (SIL) catalysts combine the advantages of IL media with solid support materials and can reduce amounts of IL used. This chapter discusses the application of SIL in coupling reactions, which include: C?C Coupling Reactions and C?N Coupling Reactions. The combination of well-defined catalyst complexes or metal nanoparticles (NPs), nonvolatile ILs, and solid supports offers more advantages than the traditional supported liquid-phase catalysis using water or organic solvents which often suffers from evaporation of the supported solvents. ? 2014 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
