摘要:NOVELTY - A toughening and water-resistant starch plastic contains 1-47% starch i.e. cassava starch, potato starch, sweet potato starch, wheat starch, corn starch, mung bean starch, and/or lotus starch, 0.2-24% plasticizer i.e. glycerol, urea, ethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, D-sorbitol, xylitol, maltitol, glycerin fatty acid resin, epoxy soybean oil, and/or formamide, 24-83% of not greater than 5% meso polylactic acid having viscosity-average molecular weight of 10000-30000, 5-40% thermoplastic polyurethane i.e. polyester, and 0.1-4% antioxidant i.e. phenol, phosphite, and/or sulfur-containing ester. USE - A toughening and water-resistant starch plastic (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and environment-friendly, and plastic has high toughness, good water resistance, is low cost, and biodegradable. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A toughening and water-resistant starch plastic contains 1-47% starch i.e. cassava starch, potato starch, sweet potato starch, wheat starch, corn starch, mung bean starch, and/or lotus starch, 0.2-24% plasticizer i.e. glycerol, urea, ethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, D-sorbitol, xylitol, maltitol, glycerin fatty acid resin, epoxy soybean oil, and/or formamide, 24-83% of not greater than 5% meso polylactic acid having viscosity-average molecular weight of 10000-30000, 5-40% thermoplastic polyurethane i.e. polyester with shore hardness of 65-95 A, and 0.1-4% antioxidant i.e. phenol, phosphite, and/or sulfur-containing ester in which phenolic antioxidant is 2,6-di-tert.-butyl-4-methyl phenol, 2,2'-methylenebis(4-methyl-6-phenol), and/or tetra( beta -(3,5-di-tert.-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid) pentaerythritol ester, phosphite ester is nonylphenyl phosphite and/or tris(2,4-di-tert.-butylphenyl)phosphite ester, and sulfur-containing ester is thiodipropionate bis lauryl acrylate and/or thiodipropionic acid distearyl ester. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of toughening and water-resistant starch plastic which involves drying starch, polylactic acid, and thermoplastic polyurethane at 80-100 degrees C for 4-6 hours, discharging, mixing starch and plasticizer in high speed mixer for 3 minutes, extruding using twin-screw extruder at 80-140 degrees C, cooling, crushing to obtain thermoplastic starch, mixing with polylactic acid, thermoplastic polyurethane, and antioxidant, kneading at 160-200 degrees C, and uniformly mixing for 10-15 minutes.
