摘要:研究了以浓硫酸为催化剂 ,丙二醇甲醚和醋酸酯化合成丙二醇甲醚醋酸酯的过程 ,考察了醚和酸比例、催化剂用量等因素对反应的影响 ,并选择甲苯为水萃取剂。当丙二醇甲醚与醋酸和甲苯配比分别为 1 .0∶ 1 .1和 1 .0∶ 0 .6(mol∶mol) ,催化剂浓硫酸用量 w=0 .0 0 5~ 0 .0 1时 ,丙二醇甲醚醋酸酯的收率大于 96%。通过对该反应的动力学研究得到了反应的活化能及反应速率常数。
The process of esterification of propylene glycol monomethyl ether (PM) with acetic acid to synthesize propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate (PMA) is investigated using 98% sulfuric acid as catalyst. The reaction conditions and results are different with or without the presence of an inert extractant of water. It is found that the reactant HAc is rich in the overhead distillate due to the high bottom temperature when the reaction is proceed without water extractant. Benzene and toulene are employed as water extractant to take away the water produced, so the reaction has been improved greatly. At the same time, the esterification is in favor for the excessive reactants, so HAc, one of the reactants, is in excess in the reaction. When the molar ratio of PM to acetic acid and toluene are more than 1.0∶1.1 and 1.0∶0.6, respectively and the amount of sulfuric acid is between 0.5%~1.0%, the yield of PMA is higher than 96%. The kinetics of esterification is also studied and the results obtained show that the esterification is a second order reversible reaction. The kinetic model is established, and the activation energy and rate constant are obtained. Finally, the end product PMA is recovered from the reaction mixture through rectification. The purity of PMA is over 99% and its specification can meet the requirement of an solvent.
