摘要:The domino effect risk caused by fragments was investigated in consideration of the protective layer of the improved polycarbonate based on the plasticity concepts. The models for calculating the penetration depth to the protective layer and the dissipated kinetic energy of the fragment were proposed, and the domino effect risk after impact was confirmed by the movement equations of the fragment. The effects of the risk reduction were explored and compared by Monte-Carlo simulations. The results showed that the protective layer could occupy the larger probability of rupture, make the risk of domino effect decrease by approximatively 30 times due to the reduction of the failure probability of the impacted target, and cut down the failure possibility of target significantly. The relative deviations demonstrated that the protective layer performed more than 93% reduction in the domino effect risk. The risk of domino effect occurrence decreased exponentially according to the thickness of the protective layer, and the relationship between the two variables, of high reliability, as the theoretical basis for the design of the protective facilities of the tanks against the fragment impact, was created by data fitting. The interaction between the tank and the fragment should be tried to avoid in order to stop the domino effect, and the best practice to reduce the possibility of the domino effect to the tank initiated by fragments was the use of the protective layer
