摘要:The development of a practical, inexpensive, and cyanide-free method for synthesizing alpha-aryl nitriles remains a challenging goal in synthetic chemistry. Here, we report an approach for synthesizing alpha-aryl nitriles toward achieving this goal, by which alpha-cyclohexenyl acetonitriles and alpha-cyclohexenyl alkenyl nitriles are dehydrogenated to alpha-aryl nitriles. Cyanide-free: synthesis of alpha-aryl nitriles from cyclohexanones and cyanoacetic acid by condensation and dehydrogenation.
