摘要：本文以20世纪80年代和90年代出现的英语复合词为例，把英语词化过程与汉语作对应比较，旨在揭示词化过程所引起的影响跨文化交际的因素。具体包括：(1)观察事物过程；(2)语言过程；(3)文化过程。
This paper makes a contrastive study of English and Chinese lexicalization in the light of the new English compounds used in the last 20 years with a view of revealing the interference factors in the intercultural communication caused by lexicalization including observation process, linguistic process and cultural process.
