A chromatographic technique known as the concentration-pulse method has been used to determine the isotherms of pure gas(CO_2) and mixed gases(CO-N_2, CO-CO_2) on active carbon and copper loaded active carbon. The pure gas isotherms obtained by this dynamic technique were shown to be in agreements with data obtained by a static method. It was shown that amount of CO_2 adso(?)d decreased and the amount of CO adsorbed increased as the amount of supported copper increased. For the binary system CO-CO_2 in which CO is adsorbed by complex formation between CO and copper, an azeotropic phenomenon was observed.
