摘要：新文科建设的浪潮给英语专业带来了新的发展机遇。理工院校英语专业应在梳理此前得失成败的基础之上,牢固树立学科驱动专业发展的理念,坚定推进学科专业一体化建设;依托理工院校的特色和优势,实现学科和专业的交叉融合,加强技术素养的培养;采取中国本位的教育观,加大中国文化输入,提升中文产出能力。理工院校英语专业应致力于培养具备扎实的语言能力、深厚的中国情怀、出色的跨文化理解和沟通能力、良好的技术素养的复合型外语人才,开辟一条特色发展的道路。
With a history of over forty years,undergraduate English programs in science&technology universities have witnessed splendors and come across challenges.The latest trend of new liberal arts brings opportunities that can’t be missed.English programs should combine research and teaching,promote interdisciplinary modules and courses,increase technical input,and enhance input of Chinese language and culture,so as to explore a better future for the language talents they train and educate.
