摘要：本文提出新经济地理学有五个方面的内容最值得关注,它们分别是:学科的核心思想、理论体系的开放性、对现实世界的解释力、总体政策涵义、缺陷或未来发展的难点。前四个方面充分展现了新经济地理学的魅力。对这些方面从总体上总结并评述的主要观点有:循环累积因果机制是导致经济活动集聚的关键,广义上的贸易自由度变化在其中起决定作用;新经济地理学的模型体系提供了一个具有巨大包容性的理论框架,使具有统一理论基础的空间经济学初具雏形;循环累积因果机制适用于解释各种空间层面的经济集聚现象或相邻区域的演变分化;区域经济政策总体上终究只能在时间和空间两个维度上进行权衡,把握区域经济总体效率与不同区域相对公平之间的度是关键;新经济地理学进一步发展的主要难点在于更全面、彻底地考虑空间维度,使模型的假定条件更接近现实并能更多地反映社会因果关系。
This paper tries to generally smnmarize and review on the five most notable aspects of new economic geography listed as： the core idea of the discipline, the openness of the theoretical system, the explanatory power to the real world, policy implications in general, and flaws or difficulties in the future development. The charm of the new economic geography is fully demonstrated by the first four aspects. Our viewpoints mainly include the following： The circular causality mechanism is the key which causes economic activities to agglomerate and the generalized freedom degree of trade plays a decisive role. The model system of new economic geography provides a theoretical framework with great inclusiveness and makes the unified theoretical basis of spatial economics begin to take shape. The mechanism of circular causality is suitable for the interpretation of much econonric agglomeration in various spatial levels or the evolution and differentiation of adjacent regions. Regional economic policies can only be generally traded off between the time dimension and spatial dimension after all and the key is to grasp the overall efficiency of regional economy and the relative fairness of different regions. The main difficulties of the future devel- opment of new economic geography lie in that the spatial dimension should be considered more comprehensively and thoroughly so that the assumptions of the models closer to reality and more social causation can be reflected.
