摘要:Spherical polyelectrolyte brushes (SPB), which consist of a polystyrene core and covalently attached poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) chains, formed a mono layer film on mica surface after drying from aqueous emulsion. By controlling the rate of water evaporation via adjusting the temperature and degree of vacuum, the film can present different patterns from islands to networks with patches by self-assembly of SPB as observed by atomic force microscopy (AFM). Patterns of SPB on the modified mica surface with alkali metal salts are also observed.
