According to the characteristics.of reversed micellar solution,a cylindrical centrifugal extractor Model HL-20 was tested as the equipment for the extraction of BSA.The hydraulic characteristics of this installation were investigated.The entrainment in raffinate was lower than 5%, entrainment in extract was about zero,and the stage efficiency was above 95% under appropriate conditions. All of these verified that the cylindrical centrifugal extractor is applicable to protein extraction by reversed micellar solution.
