摘要:Hydrogen-induced degradation of mechanical properties of 2205 duplex stainless steel in 0.1N H2SO4 with As2O3 solution has been studied under cathodic charging conditions. Small punch tests (SPTs) were carried out to investigate the effect of hydrogen embrittlement (HE) on 2205 weld, heat affected zone (HAZ), and base material. The results indicate that all the specimens are susceptible to gaseous HE with different degrees. In which, the weld shows lowest HE susceptibility, the base material and HAZ display moderate HE susceptibility, and the HAZ shows the highest. HAZ shows the highest HE is because of that it contains more ferrite phase compared with that in base and weld material. The minimum HE susceptibility of the weld depends on the fine microstructure of weld. ? 2014 WIT Press.
